All I really ever use are the different voices, the pre-recorded songs and the metronome

32 note polyphony sounds very good. The only time we ever had a problem was trying to play along with the pre-recorded songs - it seems to get bogged down

We started experiencing sticking keys about a year after we bought it. I watched the repairman replace the keys and he showed me how they had tiny little cracks at the very top of the key (where the spring made contact) and how the cracked keys sat a little sideways. After that, I just replaced them myself (because I couldn't stand to pay $150 Plus the cost of the keys), but like the previous user, I expected better from Yamaha.

I tried to get Yamaha to pay for the keys but they say I probably abused it, which is a joke because we treat it like a grand.

It worked nicely for us, but I would not buy anything with the cheap plastic keys. This is ironic for us, because the "graded hammer" effect (the keys felt like piano keys) was the main reason we bought the CLP 920. We like it, the kids like it, but every 5 or 6 months I have to spend about $60 on keys and 2 hours to replace them.

Like the previous poster, my keyboard has also started packing up after ~2 years of use. Two 'E' keys (E0 and E1) both stick down when played. Both keys appear to have twisted on their mountings and rub the keys either side. Come on Yamaha - I expect better!

I had this piano in for about two years, and after one year of heavy use the keyboard just started to broke up. First one key at the time started making a snapping sound and then began to get stuck. It seemed that plastic keys had started to fracture. Actually, I'm quite sad, because I thought I'd bought a very good piano. Has anybody had same kind of problems with CLP-series?

It's really just plug and play.
If you wanna use midi, connect the midi cable from the Clp920 to the pc. And that's it.

Keyboard action is beautiful. It's just like playing a real piano. It has this hammer graded action, so that's the best with this piano.
Midi features is what you expect. Plug and play really.

There are a few built in effect, such as church organ, strings el-piano and choures. Basicly the church organ sucks, el-piano is alright, choures is not very good either, the strings are kinda cool though.
However, this is a piano, and it's the piano sound first and foremost that is important here, and the piano sound is superb! It's very close to a real piano.
I started out with a Roland A-33 and a Roland JV1080 with the session expension card, i didnt like it at all. I mean the A33 was good to play on, but the module didnt cut the chase for me. I was looking for a good piano sound, and in my opinion the session card doesnt deliver that. However, the Clp920 does.
Basicly with this piano you can play all kinds of music, except maybe trance/dance/techno or crap like that ;-)

I would definatly buy it again.
I've been playing piano for a about a year, and this is definatly really close to my real piano.
I love everything about it except the silly extra sounds, which could have been replaced with a good Hammond B3 organ or something like that. That's my only complain. But again, i have to state you buy this piano to get an instrument that is close to the real thing.
