4 pre-set sounds.
preset #1. is a Rhodes/Wurly good enough to fool most audiences.
preset #2. is horrible,i think it's supposed to be vibes but fails miserably.
preset #3. is a clavinet,sort of.put it through a distortion pedal or a tube amp and a wah pedal for a cheap Hohner D6.
preset #4. is a harpsicord,but not really.
plus a section for creating your own seperate patch.mostly self-explanatory,the manual is available online from Yamaha.

16-note polyphony,good enough for most 10 fingered folks.
weighted keyboard.
built-in tremolo with depth and speed controls,and a super cheesy flanger that is either on or off.
no expansion.
no MIDI.
no sequencer.
there is a port to connect it to a Yamaha CS70M,but you'll probably never find one,or the cord that connects them together.

i usually play preset #1. or #3. depend on whether i want to sound sort of like a Rhodes/Wurly or sort of like a Hohner D6.
good for 70's music,the last gasp for extremely heavy instruments that only have a couple of good sounds.
the tremolo is nice,the flanger is a joke.
velocity sensitive keyboard,no aftertouch.
it's very quiet,and has 1/4" and XLR stereo outs.

built like a tank,weighs slightly less than a tank.
i would gig with this,except that i don't ever want to move it again unless i sell it.

they had a free download in PDF format of the user manual on the Yamaha website,they probably have the service manual too,but there's no way you could break one of these,and if you did they're cheap enough you could buy another.

i bought this because after playing guitar for 30 years i wanted to learn how to play keyboards,and i didn't want to spring $1000 (or more) on a Rhodes or a Wurlitzer.
nobody would be stupid enough to steal one of these.
it has 73 keys from E0 to E6 and a weighted action that my other keyboards (RMI 368X,Korg DW8000,Elka Rhapsody 490) don't have.
i bought it to keep at home to practice through headphones.
