Ease of Use : 9
The preset sounds, in particular grandpiano and grandpiano3 sound excellent. Editing is not that simple because of the display. Manual is clear.

Features : 9
64 voices polyphony. Effects sound great and are easy to use. MIDI is very restricted (IN/OUT). Keyboard feels great!

Expressiveness/Sounds : 10
Piano1 and Piano3 sound awesome. Piano2 sounds more like the P200 inmy opinion (not so realistic). Rhodes is pretty OK. Wurlitzer sounds a bit thin to me, but it can do, you know. Piano/strings layer is OK. Strings are not realistic, brighter and more pad-like.
Keyboard respons is perfect: it truly feels like a grand piano.

Reliability : 7
Well built the P-140 is ready for the road. Minor thing is that no professional jack cable connections are provided for sound output. Just very small "cinch"-outputs. I don't know why YAMAHA did this.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
Super ! The best stagepiano on the market today ! Better than the P-120 and P-250

Simple but powerful

Features : 8
As real as you can get. Reverbs and effects are simple but useful and great. Easy to use than anything. No need for expansions, etc. Midi is available but not using now. No need for bells and wistles, no need.

Expressiveness/Sounds : 9
What can I say, one of the best acoustic Grand piano tones in the universe! Next best is the P250 at another 1,000.00 dollars!

Reliability : 8
Pretty sure is built well, something this great should be taken care of anyways unless you are endorsed by yamaha, then you could bang it around and get Yamaha to send you a new one for free if you break it.

Haven't needed it yet.

Nothing comes close to it this price range, would like choir voice tones but looks like it was replaced with 50 on board piano songs. Needs 80's synth too. Other than that, AWESOME! This was a b-day gift from my wife, what can I say but thankyou for the best b-day gift ever, other than my daughter being born 1 wk before my b day.

Again, the next best digital piano from the P-140 is the P-250!
