Ease OF Use 10 a high10 Yes I know its old has only a hundred voices, most of which are repeats with slight change, and no Synth, but I love mine. Why? Because Its a breeze to program. The drum programing is a dream come true. It makes an excelent workstation to run drum and bass tracks

As I said befor love the drums. Midi is easy (I'm new at the whole midi thing so I may be off base). Its polyphonic with multitimbrel nd midi is pressure sesitive. Thow it does lack flexability you will never need a drummer. It can be fully sequenced with an intro (4 runs) a main and bridge(4 runs with continuis loops) Two fill ins(2 runs) and an end(4 runs, song stops). Only problems are as mentioned no synth, no samples, and no expantion. If Yamaha would remake it with a synth ,midi thru, And large LCD screen I bet it would Surpass the trinity as best work station
Expressiveness/Sounds

Unfortionatly very few of the sounds are realistic(Exeption, drum kit). It works well in an industrial band I play in for drum and bass. The onboard effects are only ok (Hay it was made 9 years ago and was ment to be sold at K-mart). It reacts well to my playing. The keys are very sesitive to velocity. Because its digital there is no static!

It is very reliable, but you need a more modern board for your main sound.

I I had To do it over I would without thought. I love what it can do. I only wish it had a Synth and a disk drive (the later can be replaced with a MDF3, which also sequences your synth the running from the Psr, to the filer, to your synth you have a working network) My other board is an antient Seil DK600, which I only use cuase it was cheep. But combined wth the Psr I have been pleased with the music I create
