Ease of Use

Use this standalone works okay with usb connected to Cubasis though
Sounds imo really good a lot have velocity switching fret slides etcetera. only use the xg lite voices for layering. manual okay rarely need it so easy to use arranger keyboards. No voice editing don't know if patch editor available I'd buy a synth if i wanted that probably

32 note polyphony don't have a problem with that pianist types might I guess.Synth action good enough for me.Although there's no mention of slash chord recogniyion in the manual it does recognise them in standard split as well as in full keyboard mode.three effect blocks 189 effects has a usb slot for memory sticks. eight banks of eight registration memories great for changing settings on the fly. basic 8 track recorder no editing save as SMf reads them straight from memory stick you can mute indvudual tracks wth reg buttons and display score and lyrics would have been better if it could display key signature and a revoice function to replace the xg lite playback. You can load a style into a spare style slot think you can do this straight from stick as well never found the music data base much use myself some people do

So many great voices Sax, wind, elactric pianos and the guitars I particularly like. You can layer and split voices.Good selection of styles I use alot of latin swing and ballad ones some country the rock and dance styles sound good enough to me someone who's more into that may not agree. the effects are great for bringing out the organs and elctric guitars the velocity switching very effective with a lot of the voices

I think you get a lot for your money with this board if you just want to quickly jam some tunes out of a busker book It's no contest.Probably good enough to gig with external amp. I was looking at the roland GW7 too which seemed quite good the Roland had some editing features and higher polyphony and was slightly cheaper too the yammies onboard speakers and registration memories swayed it for me I guess
