AKG C214 Condenser

Very nice condenser! Modeled after its older brother the c414 that has been somewhat of a recording staple for some time now. The only difference is the single cardioid pattern (and $500 cheaper). Only one slight drawback, while recording grand piano I noticed the amount of gain that was necessary to hear the piano created a small static background noise. I personally use them exclusively on overheads while recording bands and as a 2nd mic while recording vox.
