AKG Austrian made , hyper-cardioid , made for vocal or general instrument . It is effective against off-axis residual noise and feedback. Slight rise in the high and mid frequencies result in improved intelligibility and detail. Double-Flex internal shock mount system results in great isolation from handling and cable noise. Great for vocal , o.k. for amp mic'ing. For amp I primarily use SM57's . Very rugged in design . I'm giving it an 9 because of price paid.
