Reviewer Background
:
Been playing on and off for twenty years. I am not a recording engineer I only know what I hear.I use this dynamic mic for vocals. Its so clear. Even when singers try to swallow it you can hear what they say.

The d202 is an old dynamic mic designed to compete in the studio with condenser mics. Had the nickname of the rocket probably because of the unusual head shape.
This mic is designed to minimise proximity effect. You know how the bass gets boosted when you get closer. this is accomplished by having two pickups. the sound for the bass pickup enters at the bass of the mic.
Even vocalists who try to swallow the mic come out clear.
Gave it to one guy who relied on proximity to give him some bass, he hated it, I laughed.
My only issue is the cs model has a strange connector at the base, if I loose the cable then I wont be able to use it. Other models have a cannon connector.
