I have been playing guitar for 15 years. the last 5 pro. I have been working with my modest project studio for 2 years. I can get an exelent sound from my computer based system. The apex 110 is a really inexpensive small diaphram condenser that is suitable for the studio and for live performance. It is around the same price as a sm58 and is louder and clearer. It certainly is not as duable though so i keep good care of it.

HYpercardiod. The frequency response isnt flat it has a bump around 12k . IN a live aplication it is crisp and has way more output before feedback than the other mics. Considering its low price i give this mic a 9.5
