I've been playing and recording since 1958. I'm presently using a PC DAW. My monitoring equipment is a pair of McIntosh tube mono amps and Carvin electrostatic speakers

It's a medium diaphram Cardiod Condensor
The mike is being used to record my Mesa/Boogie Mk IV amp in "studio" (i.e. not live) sessions. It's placed about 4" off center to the speaker. I looked at a lot of other mikes before I got this one, but the price/sound quality factor won me over.

It's clear, transparent and capable of handling high volume sitations
