Audio-Technica MB-4k

this audio- technica is a handheld condencer mic...takes AA battery
well first off i also own a audio technic at 3035 that is not handheld it is a truly great mic for recording vocals and acoustic guitar...that said i thought i would give it a try....well for recording i found it good for vocals better for micing my martin acoustic at the soundhole...
but for live applications for vocals it is great though a sound system , its really nice to have a handheld condencer mic on hand it has a warm sound... im not thowing out my shure mics for live shows but its a deccent mic for the money and to have around for some recording and live vocals..

this is a nice mic for the money it would not be my first mic , if i was just starting out i would buy a shure sm58 and sm57 ..this is good solid mic to add to your asenal of mics..
