including live.
Overall Rating

Used all sorts of drum mics for live AKG D112 C418B, Shure beta, Sennheiser 604 and found them ok.
in studio found D12 good and MD 421 and like them. Oh but the price.
For my birthday my best friend (me) bought a DP5A drum pack.
D6
If you find the D112 a dit like deing hit in the chest with a pillow the D6 is a Doc Martin boot. it's in and out and no hanging around.
BANG
LOVE IT.
604's lack clarity and clip gets in the way. C418b bad positioning but clean sound
D4 D2
Have those toms taken steroids! and so clear to!
Drummers arn't fast to compliment the drum sound
but Iv'e had 3 in a row
Iv'e yet to use the D1 yet as my regular venue is not so big
and snares are so so loud (just add one 18 year old).
I do a large venue and will use them there and i have that.
can't wait
