Tiny condenser - Audix's answer to the Beta 98 one might say. I tried the Micro-Ds with rim clamps on rack toms after having trouble fitting even D4s with 90 degree XLRs, owing to the cymbals being in the way. I was not disappointed. I then tried one an the snare - again a very nice result. Guitar cabs (with stand mount clips): smoother top end than the D4. Horns (with bell clips): a very nice choice for a player who does not want to be tied to a mic stand. Overall, a very versatile mic, and much better than the "usual suspects". The attached cable is very thin cable, but I've yet to have a failure. (NOT a good choice for floor tom - no bottom.)
