I've been making music for nearly 20 years and I'm using Logic Pro/MOTU Hardware for all my studio work and Digital Multitrack for remote recording.

I've used this mic on all kind of acoustic instruments including: Guitar, mandolin, dobro, double bass, violin, flute and of course vocals. One thing that I've noticed is that the placement of this mic is REALLY important. I don't know but I feel that this mic is way more sensitive to this than many of my other mics (Neumann U89, U87, AKGC3000, Manley ReferenceC, Oktava MKL5000, BLUE Mouse) I don't know why but this seems to be the case. But I will say that if You pay attention to this it is a great mic and when considering the price it's fantastic. if You don't need the other polar patterns (than cardoid) I think it's one of the best nontube condensermics You could buy.

I saw this mic at AES NYC and talked to Dirk Brauner the owner of the company. You can read all you want about him and the company on their website. The Phantom C is a the least expensive mic they make but its incredible. No frills just a great mic. Its has the most detail and picks up everything you could imagine. A bad singer may not like it because its not pre-EQ'd like alot of mics but a decent engineer and a good EQ can do what they have to. Its better to have something flat so you can EQ if you have to and reproduce that EQ every time. Well built with a cool shockmount that lets you get the pop filter right up on the mic if you want. This mic was demoed through a Manley mic pre and some good studio headphones.
