Reviewer Background
:
Been involved in music recording for 14 years, initially with my own small record company specialising in early music (lutes, crumhorns, viols etc!) and latterly, recording local folk/ blues/ jazz artists.
Using what is now 'old technology' - condenser mikes via portable Studiomaster mixer into DAT recorder - and often in even older venues, such as local village churches etc. near Oxford.

Just an update on my previous one - it turns out that the circuit is in every respect identical to that of the T-bone SC400 (which is fine as far as I am concerned) - this from a visual check as I have neither equipment nor expertise to do any electronic check. So yes, these companies do tend to re-badge the same bit of kit....
I did buy another one, and am very happy with it.

This is a cardioid condenser, large diaphragm mike which comes with a shock-mount, having a reassuring weight of 13.4 oz. At time of writing, I have owned it for exactly 36 hours.
By reason of an emergency I will not bore you with, this lined up alongside my two AKG 414s for a recording session this morning - it arrived in time yesterday for me to test it out a little, but I would not normally want to test out a brand new mike in an important recording session....
Maybe I shouldn't venture an opinion yet, but at the end of the session after a listen-through, the upright-bass player came up to me full of compliments for the sound I had got from his instrument - via this microphone. My own listening confirmed the opinion, and I am buying another now...
