Reviewer Background

I have been making music for five years now. I've had my studio for about a year and a half. I have recorded in several studios around the area and have found that I can produce a much better recording than any of the previous studios were able to. I record acoustic, alternative, folk, metal, and all others styles of music. I am running a firestudio into sonar 6 with $6,000 in plugins. Passive pair of bose monitirs(quit laughing, they do their job.)

This is a matched pair of small diaphram condenser mics with a fixed cardioid pattern. They feature all metal construction and come with a few accessories. Dual mic mount, 2 shockmounts, and windscreens for each mic all in a plastic case. I looked at just about every brand of mic that there is. I asked a fellow one time what small diaphrams he preferred. He refered me to good ole JOE MEEK. I'm glad he did. I have used these to record, vocals, talkbox, guitar, drum overheads and acoustic guitars. They performed amazing in every application. Using them to record vocals in stereo add a lot of depth to the vocals. I was concerned that they might be noisy, considering i only paid $100 for the pair, but they are very quiet. Very full sounding, not boxey like some other cheap mics. They really give a lot of tone to the drums when used as overheads. I would highly recomend this mic to anyone looking for a really good small diaphram condenser for a little cash.
