I guess that most people would call this an SM57 clone which is probably what they were going for considering the specs, polar pattern and even the appearance are very similar if not exact.
I paid about $30 shipped which was worth the risk since it was just going to be used very occasionally at home. I compared it to some mics from work (just about everything except for an SM57) and it sounded great. Handles levels very well and the only time I get some hum was with the gain on the mic preamp cranked and it's buried in my amp with the amp's volume low.
If you are looking for a good solid mic for cheap I recommend this mic. There may be something better in this price range, but I haven't found it. If you've got an SM57 I doubt that this would beat it, but I don't think that you would be in need to replace this anytime soon with the 57.

I have been making music for about 5 years seriously. I have been recording a lot as a session guitarist for my friends recording business. Usually I record using a Yamaha aw16g (DAW) but also use multiple PC programs. I use powered monitors or headphones for playback while mixing.

This is a Dynamic mic with all the same specs as an SM57 on paper. Although, everyone knows, or should know paper and reality are 2 different things. I'm not going to compare this with the 57 but I'll give the OSP version a fair trial. I use it on snares, toms, overheads, guitar amps, bass amps, vocals, talk boxes. I guess that's why they call it a dynamic duh :)These are pretty cheap off fleebay I got some for 20 bucks, which isn't bad if you like experimenting with stuff. These are very quiet when handling and recording. They pick up what you put out.. plain and simple. As long as you place the mic correctly you'll have no problem picking up good sound. The DL-330's isolate your sound source pretty well. This is great for cutting out unwanted bleeding. For everyone out there trying to record on a budget these mics are the way to go. They feel solid as a rock.
