Reviewer Background :
I have been playing rock music since '88. I have been recording now with a DAW and I break this mic out once in awhile be cause of is unique high end roll off and is lower frequency dynamics. I just didn't see any reviews for this particular microphone and I thought my input would be helpful.

Overall Rating : 7
It's a dynamic mic. All aluminum body with an all metal screen. NOt real sure on the polar patterns as info on this mic is hard to come by. It works well for lower male vocal sounds. Not very crisp. It doesn't pick up the crunch from my 4x12 with Celestions. I have used it as a kick mic at about 6 inches from the drum and seems to to a very good job "notching out" the "mechanical" sound of the drum. It does a very good job for natural male vocals. Have not used it for female vocals yet. In an after thought, I think I remember reading somewhere that these mics were used with a particualr type of Yamaha electric piano/keyboard. The mic plugged into the keyboard and was amplified throught the keyboard electronics.
