Subwoofers can be very forgiving (with eq etc you can correct many faults). This sub is well designed. Very clear, distortion free bass. This sub sounds very differnt than direct radiators. Outside or in large clubs, folded horns are the way to go. In smaller clubs, a good direct radiator may be better. I love this sub for its ability to throw bass a looooooong way and remain clear and articulate.

A cool towel bar handle, built in wheels. I'd love to see a handle on the bottom of the cab. I can load this in my truck by myself, but it is not easy

On pro sound boards I see B-52 products get hammered occasionally. I don't have any experience with their lower priced stuff but I really like the LX-18 folded horn subs. They are very efficient and articulate when set up properly. They are rugged and have performed well. I think dollar per dollar these are the best values out there in sub horn land. They are big, they are heavy, they are not the best in 40 people clubs. In 200 person venues or outdoors they can't be beat!
