This is a two way active speaker, which can be used for FOH or on its side, as a floor monitor. The case is molded plastic, and its pole mountable.

It handles 400W peak, or 300W RMS, with built in biamping for the crossover. the main driver is 15"and the compression driver tweeter is1.25" with flared horn. Frequency repsonse is stated at 55 to 20,000hz. it claims to have built in overload protection, and an LED indicates if clipping is occuring. The inputs are 1/4"or XLR, and you can use balanced or unblanced cords. The gain control goes from fully off, to a good line level about halfway, to mic level at full. So you can use it direct with a microphone, or from a pa. For low level use, turn the gain down low and still run the pa as normal. Treble and bass controls are provided for tone tweaking, and there and extrs XLR for daisy chaining to more speakers. Its a good and useful set of specs, no more needed.

Very good - it sound better than all the PA systems our band uses in various rehearsal studios. Very loud if needed and very clear through the full range. We have fed our whole band through a pair of these, except the bass, but including kick drums, three mics, keyboard and two guitars. They coped fine at very loud volume and no clipping. Lows are nice and full, better than 12" types. The back panels only got slightly warm. Can't ask for more.

All good, the weight is a manageable 20kg each, and the handles give a good balance for lifting. Rolling them over on the back, the knobs are recessed within the overall profile of the case, so they are somewhat protected, but care still needed. The case can be scuffed, but its generally tough structurally. Useful to be able to plug a mic straight in.

the Behringer QC system is YOU. We now have two good units of these peakers, but had to return one twice to swap it out, once for bad distortion, the other for a low level crackle. Dont buy Behringer unless you can test and return easily. Return was no questions asked, it happens every day!
Great value, once you get good ones, theres nothing to touch it within 2x the price.
Recomended, with care to check them

The Behringer B215A is a typical molded-plastic speaker with a 15" LF driver and a 1.25" titanium compression driver/horn. Input connections consist of the basics: XLR & TRS, along with an XLR output for daisy-chaining. Controls are basic and simple: Level (including gain for using microphones directly into the speaker), Treble and Bass. Overall size is what you'd expect for this set of components, and the weight is comfortable (not too heavy, not cheesy light).

Rated at 450 watts peak output, I believe the RMS output is around 300 watts. I was pleasantly surprised to find this was PLENTY of power for almost any situation you would use this type of speaker in. By itself, the unadjusted sound is a little bass-shy, but not in a bad way. Used as on-stage monitors, they're nearly perfect! The slight lack of deep bass is a plus in those situations, resulting in a clear tone that cuts through the band's mix. Used by themselves for main speakers with a mixer having an onboard graphic EQ, dialing in a slight dip in the midrange and a slight rise at the low end evens the sound out very nicely. Ideally, I would use these as monitors or as main tops with subs. Matched with my 118 or 218 subs, these Behringers sound great!

Pretty much typical in all aspects: Construction, sound and usefulness. When price is factored in, as usual, Behringer leaps to the front of the pack! You can pay a lot more and get somewhat better speakers (the Mackies, QSC's, etc.), but these B215A's cover most of the same gigs just as well at $500 a pair! Buy a set and try them with a sub...you'll be amazed and smile all the way to the bank!
