Initial impression is that it is a forward sounding speaker. Can hear the high mids of the bass guitar on a playback track, soon it is apparent that there a bountiful of 3khz to 5 khz at normal setting. Low are controlled, definitely no low humps anywhere. Unable to make a judgement, just guessing that the highs and lows levels at the initial settings are just a little too much mid-highs. There is a small area sweet spot for listening. Sounds slightly distorted at the 2khz to 4khz range, pianos sound too detailed, probably due to uneven frequency response.

Big and heavy, not suitable for a room studio, probably for a larger listening space.

I would not consider this as a monitor speaker. However, if I would use it for the living room as there is plenty of volume to spare. There seemed to be an too much of 3khz to 5khz that cannot be sufficiently attenuated by the switches behind. Compared it with a Genelec and a Hi-fi mission speaker.
