This is a 2-way FOH main speaker cabinet with a 12" and 15" woofer. It also includes a 1" compression driver. The cabinet is a compact trapezoid shape that weighs 94 pounds. It is made of particle board -uses plastic side handles and has a metal grille that covers the drivers and exposes the horn (there are versions that cover the entire face -mine has the exposed horns). The inside is insulated and the horn is braced. It is also covered with charcoal carpet that cats love to terrorize.

The box is passive and is spec'd at 4ohms 250-1000w peak. I put 450 watts into each using a QSC RMX 1450 -I suppose I could juice it up a little more -but the wattage I use suits them just fine in most situations. I use these paired with dual 15" subwoofers -also Bullfrogs (B215). I mix using an Allen and Heath Mixwizard. The enclosure has parallel 1/4" jacks on the back. It uses Eminence components, Delta series drivers. I believe it uses a lightbulb for Circuit/thermal protection. The size is compact -shallow and slightly larger than a typical 2x12 cab -but much smaller than most 2x15. Definitely heavy for its size at 94lbs. -made in the USA.

The sound quality of this cabinet is impressive and definitely its strongest feature. It is higher pitched and sounds more like a 2x12 than a 2x15. It certainly sounds best when coupled with subwoofers. The high frequencies are very clear and balanced with the drivers. The 12" woofer to me seems to be the dominant speaker out of the two. The 15" is definitely audible but doesnt put out as much low end as is typical for its size -but the 12" driver seems to compliment the horn and gives a clear/strong high end response. It can be a little bright and slightly brittle when pushed hard -but I think if I had put more wattage in to them they'd perform a little better at the higher volumes. The clarity is there -they are not muddy or have a mid range honk -the detail and balance is excellent. Coverage is about what would be expected. They seem relatively efficient as other "PA people" are always impressed by how much sound comes out of these in contrast of the power they are being fed.

They have handles, however they are plastic cups in the sides. They have no polemount -too heavy and awkard shaped. definitely not made to be flyable. Their compact size is a plus but their weight is a minus.
Something interesting about their design: A guy who works for JBL told me he was familiar with the boxes I owned and said that Bullfrog's design was to sacrifice build quality to add component quality. They were not expensive boxes, but I don't think I have heard anything that sounded better at the price I paid. They have been holding together ok so far -they are creaky when I move them. I plan on adding metal corners. I have already replaced all the feet of the bottom of the boxes and replaced them with more rugged feet that will never come off. I also plan on replacing the carpet with liner someday. ----my willingness to do all this must tell you a little about how much I like the sound.

This product has impressed many in real world situations. I live in the Phoenix area and many of my friends have played all over town. They say my PA system is one of the best sounding they have ever played through! It has an excellent reputation. I might recommend them to others if they fit their needs. They are no longer in production, so I probably wouldn't replace them if they were lost or stolen, -if they were available... I might- I might also consider the Bullfrog PR1510 which is a box shaped enclosure housing a 15 and 10" woofer. These are a FANTASTIC box for their price and dish out a good amount of sound for their size. I just wish it was lighter, not carpeted, had corners and had better handles... I can at least fix most of these myself!
