powerd 4 channel old style mixer amp, only. with large spring reverb tank. Dates from 1970s. Made in UK. Carlsbro still make PA and music amplification gear but all now manufactured abroad and the company has totaly changed.

Carlsbro say it is probably 120W maximum through 4 ohms speaker load. Can drive speakers between 4 - 16 ohm. 4 channel with switchable reverb and aux effects loop on each channel. 2 standard jack inputs for each channel. These give different sounds so assumed that one is high impedence and the other low impedence. All inputs are through mono jacks and not balanced.
Construction quality is supperb. All hand wired with individual components mounted on bare boards.
Pre amp outputs and slave amp outputs. Footswitch output assumed to be for reverb, no footswitch available to check this out.

For 120W RMS this amp is very loud. The spring reverb is quality, deep lasting reverb. Treble and bass controls work well.
Amp is approx 30 years old so most of the pots are very crackley but the switches, for reverb and aux all function without trouble.

Heavy for 120W compared to todays gear but still a quality peice of kit

The reverb and 120W output make this still a very practicle piece of gear. I got it very cheap, probably because the 70s styling is not that appealing to many people and most would consider this as junk.
