This is a 2x15" dedicated subwoofer enclosure. It is a fairly compact design that can be used vertically or horizontally. It is made from solid birch ply and has a textured surface. They are fairly heavy with casters about 135lbs.

Passive. 1000 watts RMS. They have a pole mount for horizontal mounting although they can be setup vertically as well, but they only have feet on the horizontal side. They can handle venues up to about 500 people comfortably in my experience. For the gigging band it would be very hard to find a better sub. They have a plenty of low end considering they are 15s not 18s, and because of that they are a little more articulate and less boomy. If you are looking for DJ use, they can handle all the low end electronic type bass very well, but they are not extremely boomy so if boomy is what you want you'd be better of with a dual 18 setup that is not designed to offer prescise sound. These are much more designed towards live music instead of dance. They have 2 speakon connectors which can be used a couple of different ways. You must rewire the connectors on your speakons for use with a lot of equipment, this only takes about 10 minutes and doesn't cost anything. They hit 40-200 at 3 and 33 at -10.

Overall these sound great. They will enhance any decent PA system. The sound is tight but not so tight that you lose the "big bass" sound. Very robust, they can take a serious beating, and the caster kit is awesome, you could roll these down a level city block with just a shove. I have not been able to get them to crack up. We power a pair of them with a Crown XTI4000 set stereo delivering 1200 watts per side. I'm not going to give them a 10 only because there are a couple of subs that do sound better, but none at this price point.

Very easy to move around even for one person, altough take care lifting at 130lbs+. Polemount extends to the bottom of the cabinet for stability. The one very unique thing about these subs is the push pull design, one woofer faces out and one in. This cancels some inherant distortion most subs have, and really works well. There is very little resonance to be found, they have a well balanced sound.

Overall these are a great speaker and a great value used. They are very robust and can take a beating so used units will most likely be fine. I totally recommend them to anyone seaking a serious sub at a reasonable price. They sell for about 1000 new, we picked up a pair for an incredible steal of 800 and an 8 hour roundtrip to get them. Keep that in mind if buying used because shipping will be very difficult and very expensive. The only subs I would look at if we had to replace these would be the JBL MRX, the SRX are nice, but for the price don't offer much. I would also gladly look into any EAWs I could find for a steal, but I would not be upset having to pay full price for these. They done everything I've asked of them, and done it well.
