The enclosure is well made, the latches could be built a little better but overall they work great for the money.

The weight is awesome for a portable setup. very easy to set up,I wish the speaker wires could be inserted in the rear of the speaker instead of the front for a cleaner look.

I use this unit for basically a track show, no instruments and I only use it for the small corporate gigs (100 or less people) and the sound is incredible! For my larger shows I use Mackie SA1521's and this Fender PD-250 has a very very clear sound and plenty of power for smaller rooms. I used the first PD-250 for over 4 years with no problems what-so-ever. Just ordered a new one with the built in CD player so that I have one less item to drag around and hook up.

I guess what impresses me is the suitcase style enclosure..Makes it so easy to haul into conventions with confined areas. It is very sleek and professional looking. And the mic's although not as good as a shure are pretty durable.

I'm not sure if I would use this unit with instruments, but if you are vocalist and use professional backing tracks and perform Nursing Homes, Conventions, small parties, I would say this is the unit for you! Just go to any music store that carries this item, bring a backing track and you will be amazed at the clarity for the price you pay..very impressive.
