- i did use this speaker since 1999 and bought it in a high-end hifi shop for 50% of the orig price, cause this monitor was so neutral dry clear that no normal user did like his mark knopfler cds + vinyl anymore, hahaha...
- i did produce 9 albums on it in my home-recording studio including albums for universal/island records etc.
- this monitor is straight neutral as possible - i did never hear another monitor from genelec to klein & hummel that was better for listen to my source from mid to high range of the 2 speakers.
- i trust my monitor from 100-20.000 hz and that's enough for a 2way homestudiospeaker.
- Below 100 hz i only do trust the bigger genelec or klein & hummel or harbeth monitor 40. If i have hard to handle freq below 100 hz i do rent a studio with bigger monitors or do the mix job during mastering in a big room mastering studio with one of the bigger models for monitoring.
- VERY IMPORTANT: these monitors (like genelec / klein & hummel) are perfect for listening to material over hours without getting your ears totally lazy!
- lets say: neutral + lively should a speaker be - this one is it! and that's why i give this one a 10

As mentioned above: i do my work as a producing musician on this speaker every day. i can recommend it to other musicians who want to produce their music straighter with getting less surprises on other listening machines (at friends house, disco, bar, car...), cause they use cheap monitoring equip and have less money. buy an old harbeth passive + a neutral british amp like rotel without "loudness/treble/bass" knobs and you have a great monitor setup!

if destroyed or stolen:
less money on the bank: buy again!
little bit more money: (avtive) Klein & Hummel 0300D (fantastic & fantastic design - nicest speaker ever
much more money: (active) Harbeth Monitor 40 (or Genelec 1038B)
