This speaker is designed as a 2-Way Front of the House Speaker with a 15" Woofer and 1" Exit Compression Driver. It is a trapezoidal design with heavy gauge steel front grate and carpeted cabinet. This is a heavy cabinet weighing in at approximately 62lbs. There are 2 pole mounts on each cabinet which I think are 1 3/8" diameter. One pole mount is a typical center facing design. The second mount angles the speaker downward 10% to allow for stage applications where you can point the speaker down at the audience to achieve better results.

These speakers sound very good right out of the box. The Low Frequency in them is awesome. The stock horns are a little flat however and the high frequency range only goes to 16Khz. The midrange is OK, but with a 1.6khz crossover, I think some of the mids are lost.
The horns have a terrible "honking" or ringing sound to them at higher volumes. The first time I heard it, I thought my phone was ringing and I turned the volume down and the honking went away. I have heard that packing some sound-proofing around the horns will eliminate this but I have not tried it because I replaced the stock compression drivers with after-market drivers that bring the high end up to 20Khz which results in a much better sound coming from the cabs. It actually sounds as though a blanket was taken off the speaker cab with the new drivers. In addition, the heavier compression driver also eliminates the honking/ringing from the horn.

As I said, these are heavy speakers. When you go to lift them up on the poles, you know you are lifting a solid piece of gear. Two pole mounts on these, one that points them straight and one that angles the speaker down 10%. Good feature. The metal handles are solid and easy to grasp for lifting purposes. Internal protection circuits that light up and absorb over powered signals to the cabinets are nice, but not fool proof.

I've had these speakers for almost a year. The rated wattage on these is a joke however. 250/500/1000 max. I was running these with a 500 watt stereo@8ohms power amp and I blew out the stock compression drivers in them. The speakers say right on them "recommend power amp 250-500 watts." After I replaced the stock compression drivers with after-market (selenium) drivers, the difference is like night and day. Now I can run them with 500 watts and the protection circuits inside the cabs never light up.
