General Questions : 7
These Kustom KPC10M are designed as a stage monitor or small main (equipped with a pole mount on bottom). 2-ways loaded with a Kustom 10" loudspeaker and 2x6 hi-freq horn. Made of fiberboard, and covered with a black tolex covering. Ported design. Plastic corners and rubber handle. Plastic grill. Being that I have had to take these apart to swap speakers, I'm rating this category a 7 because after taking screws in and out of the fiberboard a couple times the hole's have stripped. But normally you wouldn't be taking the screws in and out and they are easilly fixed with a tooth pick.

Technical Specs : 8
Passive 2-ways. They didn't come with a spec sheet so I can't comment on the crossover point, but it seems to be effective. 75 watts RMS handling, 150 watt peak @ 8 ohms. 1x10 Kustom speaker, 2x6 horn. 2x 1/4" thru connections. As far as monitors go, these are really compact and light.

Sound Quality : 7
Over all, these serve fine as a monitor. Usually I won't push anything under 100hz into my monitor mixes so these handle bass guitar and kick drums fine. The mids are fine, and the highs are a little "clackity", but it's a monitor so you're not going for perfection. The speakers handle well under normal operating conditions. I push about 125 watts continuous into these and they handle well.
As far as coverage goes...I wish they had more of a tilt back angle. It's seems like they have to be pushed out 3-4 feet in front of the user to get the right coverage and by then you have decible loss...but in low volume situations it's not the big of a deal. In louder situations just keep the stage volume down and you'll be fine.

I've since swapped out the stock Kustom 10's for some Sheffields I had laying around. BIG DIFFERENCE in the lows and clarity!

One rubber handle that'll take the weight easily (there is no weight...) The plastic corners are doing their job. Never had to use the pole mounts, but I can't envision something wrong happening when using them.

Overall Rating : 10
These monitors perform well for everything from acoustic sets to rock sets. I originally bought them so that I could have something that I wasn't affraid of the bands destroying by standing on...kicking over...spilling drinks on...that sort of thing. They've met and exceeded my expectations and for the price, you can't beat them. I wish they came stock with a beefier 10", but then the price would be driven up. All in all, if you're on a budget, you can't beat the price.

General Questions : 9
Designed to be a stage monitor with vertical or angled facing feet plus a pole mount. Two way cab with 10" main plus a horn. Solidly built ported cab with one rubber handle and is very portable. I use two of them for small parties and coffee house accoustic system.

Technical Specs : 9
Passive 75 watt 8ohm speaker with in and out 1/4" speaker cable connections. Relatively light weight - everyone invloved in setup/teardown always grabs both of them at the same time.

Sound Quality : 9
These are used for vocals and accoustic guitars only and as we don't run a bass or electric guitars through them I can only say that they perform very well for what we ask of them. They're used as part of a very low end PA system and the 100 watt amp starts clipping before they start to distort. So I have to say I'm pleased. Next round of amp and speakers will become mains and these will become stage monitors. we have used them for this in practice and they are plenty for that. They do great with vocals and accoustics including harmonica. Just have to keep in mind what your getting for a small price.

Features : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
I would highly recommend these to anyone on a tight budget for small venues or stage monitors. We play some outdoor parties and have easily been too loud from 50 feet away from a deck. If stolen, I would buy more. They're certainly not high end speakers but they are a fraction of the price. We have used them routinely over the last two years and they have not failed or weakened. Overall very happy with the purchase.
