This speaker was designed to be a FOH Speaker. Could be used for that. I own this and a pair of Radio Shack PA 115 set of speakers I reviewed here as well. I've used the Nady for stage monitoring. 2 way. 12" Speaker, and horn, 5 x 15".

Passive. 1/4" or binding posts jacks. Who uses that anymore? But good to have, I guess. About 40 lbs. Crossover built in. Compact, triangular shaped. Trapazoid, they call it. Light wt. Black tolex material covering. Nice alum. grilling for the front. Handles on both sides. Pole mounting hole underneath. Pwr: rated @ 200 watts continuous; 400 watts peak. @ 8 ohms.

Sound is ok. Passable. I use a Behringer 2 channel EQ, so that helps. No real thump from the 12" woofer, despite Nady's claim that "the woofer kicks it hard" quote un quote. I have used it for a stage monitor; it did fine. And have used it for a FOH monitor. Ok, too. Mids and especially high end were fine. Disperses sound fair. No distortion/clipping if one keeps it in the wattage area recommended. I ran it 250-300 watts w/out problems.

One could use a pair of these with a 500-600 watt power head/power amp set up, go play small clubs, small areas with a band, duo, whatever, and do fine. Don't run bass instruments and/or drums though these. Just vocals, and maybe guitar and/or keys. Will do fine. Use them for what they are: low end, starter P.A. equipment. Having a good eq helps. Get 'em!
