Sound is high quality: strong, clear and punchy. Open, not boxy. Best single 15 injection-molded 2-way I have heard. The Impulse 1015 is essentially the same as Peavey's 91 lb. wood cabinet SP2. (All things being equal, a wooden cabinet will always sound better if you have the back for it. The SP2 would get the 10 rating.)

High power handling can handle bass drums and bass guitars. Can do small outside venues and handle rooms of 250 people. Very durable. Highly recommended for club musicians who want big sound without the back-breaking weight. I would replace these in a heartbeat. I use Peavey's inexpensive customer covers to limit road rash. I plan to get a Peavey PV1600 to bi-amp. Peavey speakers rock!
