I believe this was designed as FOH Main, sure, only problem is it's low wattage output. 100 wt RMS continuous; 200 watts max @ 8 ohms. Not enough, unless it's an acoustic/low key gig, or practice usage.
2 way, has a horn. 15" speaker/driver. 1/4" inputs/outputs. Greyish, tolex carpet covering, plastic grill. Radio Shack/Optimus, whatever they are going by these days, puts out a decent product. IME. One could use their little power amps; I'm sure they've got 200 watt power amps that could drive a pair like these w/ a little 4 channel board. Use it for solo acoustic gigs. Or whatever one prefers.

Passive; 100 watts RMS; 200 wts max. I want to say internal crossover, but am not 100% sure of that. I am pretty sure it is. 1/4 " speaker in/outs. Weighs less than 50 lbs. Pretty light wt.
Sound Quality
:
No Opinion
Good Mids, Decent Treble, and very good bass response. Actually, really thumps the bass. Disperses sound well overall.

Basic top of cab handle. No pole mounts. Works fine. I've used these for house parties with a Peavey 4 channel head. A Standard 260, issued in the late 70's. It's rated @ 130 watts-4 ohms. So, 65 watts @ 8 ohms-that's how it's split off, according to a sound tech guy who explained this to me when running it mono bridged, is low watting it. Not good, but we ran at low to mid volumes, and didn't clip the speakers. Ran a drum machine and vocals only. Did fine.

Other than above, have used these as front of hall monitors, properly powered @ 100 watts apiece, and they did great!! I bought these in January 1998, a LONG time ago as of this writing. Did fine, never a problem in the 11 or so years I've owned them. So...get the latest pair @ Radio Shack if you please. Thanks...
