These are excellent tracking headphones and are used in most professional studios. I have worked five or six commercial shoots and the sound departments use the Sony MDR-V600s exclusively. These are extremely comfortable cushioned, circumaural-design, and are the preference of all of the musicians that I have recorded.

These headphones sound great at all volumes. The lows are surprisingly present for 40mm drivers. I have used Beyerdynamic DT770, AKG K240s and these are the best for tracking, not monitoring in which we would switch off between the DT770s (for bass detail) and for the K240s for flat...overall mix.

Very cool folding design that makes these fit in most other headphones...great for travel. Used for tracking in my mobile recording set-up with an MBOX 2 Pro and a Apple Mac Book Pro with great results.

Excellent for most, all-purpose applications in the real world. I would highly recommend these headphones for rugged field use. More comfortable but less durable than the "DJ" edition. I will definitely buy more of these headphones.
