These speakers have it all as far as inputs and switching capabilities for bass and treble control which means you can set them up to suit a room.

Compared to my Fostex PM04s the s5 are magic, their just so much better and they were $50 cheaper.....

These speakers are really very good for $500 they leave all in their wake, they are even superior to my old ns410 yammies and they were a great speaker, if you have a small studio like mine these speakers are the go...........

Excellent sound. You get exactly what you put in the mic/input. Bass response is off the charts, and treble is awesome. Coverage is good, I use these for mixing/recording, and also just to listen to music on.
I can crank these babies wide open and not hear a lick of distortion.
