UM2B In Ear Monitor True-Fit Earphones. Suitable for use with just about every In Ear Monitor system on the market. "UM" stands for Universal Monitors. "2" is the number of drivers - anthing less is an unacceptable comprise and means a serious lack of bass response in your ears. The "B" means black. No "B" means clear.

Very Light weight yet they feel sturdy. Ergonomic earpiece that blocks out just about all normal level outside noise. Very comfortable and very easy to use.

In the past I have used other brands and in particular the top end shure models. These Westones were recommended by another muso who told me that Westone was the manufacturer of Shure models. When Shure moved their manufacturing Westone produced it's own model with very obvious modifications and improvements. The UM2's are superior to Shure's E3's.

The foam filters that exand into your cavity were easy to to use and certainly did the trick. The Cable feels solid and isn't annoying when running down the back of your shirt. The gold coloured jack does the job. The earpieces fit in my ear canal very easily and very comfortably. I was constantly fiddling with other brands.

On stage this earpiece provided me with enough bass to make it all worthwhile. I am a bass player so I don't want a thin sound like that delivered by a single driver. This dual driver system kicks arse. The earpieces stayed put all night and I'm a big mover on stage. The foam pieces filterd out most of the ambient noise but also let in enough on stage sound too. A great feature. If you use IEM's and are confused about what to buy and what not to buy I rcommend without reservation these earpices.
