Purchased for use as Mains in church sanctuary.Auditoned several other brands(JBL,Peavey)using CD recorded in my home studio and was surprised how well they acquitted themselves given modest price. Some other models sounded as good but were twice the price. These were suspended in a wooden, grill cloth covered framework using 700lb chain.Front heavy bias actually a benefit as resultant tilting aimed sound directly at congregation and minimized bounce off back wall.

Passive 15" and mid/high horn cover frequencies down to about 100hz so unit is used with one 18" subwoofer.S115v has speakon connectors.Used internal pwr amps of Yamaha powered mixer(one spkr per amp)to effect 8ohm load on each.Used 350 watt setting and the speakers seem quite comfortable yet fairly loud at this setting.99db rated efficiency seems accurate and while the mid/high horn exhibits non-linearity common to these drivers, the overall sound(mildly tweeked with a 31band EQ is pleasant.

The overall sound is quite good(i reiterate, needs sub-woofer)and truly excellent if price is considered. As installed the dispersion characteristics are near perfect for this installation.

Given its use as experienced by me the only thing in this category i can truly comment on is the seeming well built enclosure.

Integrating these with equipment previously purchased(Yamaha pwrd mixer)resulted in a significant savings over the expected cost for the sound system in our new church.(approx.28k)Overall am quite pleased and would recommend these without hesitation.

Speaker is very good. We received them second-hand off craigslist. We we're surprised by the sound. We run a Crown CE1000 bridged for each speaker. It sounds even better with the QSC PLX series amps. We have never had any distortion. You shouldn't as long as you properly power the speaker.
HF is typically very directional with most designs, but this has 90 degrees versus most setups with 60 degrees.

Handles are very sturdy. I've used a lot of JBL (Junky But Loud) speakers and their lower end stuff can't compared. The construction is very solid.
The only problem with these speakers is that it is front heavy. These are meant to be transportable and not for installed systems. They are very heavy.

Overall it has performed very well. We've used it in over 100 shows in two years and it has never failed us. I would recommend it to other musicians for the price vs performance factor.
I would strongly recommend having subwoofers. These won't cover your low end very well. The frequency response really drops off at around 100 Hz. It just doesn't move enough air.
