I have been writing and recording music since the early eighties, when a two inch 24-track Studer was the thing to have (or use, since it was about $45,000 at the time). I came across this plug-in and wanted to give it a try.

I found the software to be pretty easy to use. The user of this software should have a pretty thourough knowledge of audio basics like 'Q' and LPF, compression Attack and Release, etc. The program installed flawlessly and works great. I'm suprised this was not at leats $100 or more.

It sounds good. I found I almost always had to adjust thee presets to get the sound I want, but I do this with all gear.

This program is definatley worth the money and is a great asset to any recording set-up. The one thing I wish could be added is a stereo imaging enhancer. It has a mono to stereo spatial plug-in, but this only supports mono files. None the less, this is a great piece of software.

I'm a professional musician of over 35 years, vocalist, guitar player, keys, bass, drums, and have replaced my analog equipment for Cakewalk Digital Software. In my search for plugins I came accross the Blue Line. I also have over 20 years computer experience. These plugins are great and easy to use. I write muisc in many styles. I use a Compaq Presario 5000US with a 750 Duron and 320mb of RAM. I do my mixing with both headphones and speakers.

I use the Blue-Line with software supporting DirectX plugins.

The Blue-Line plugin suite is easy to install and use. Each effect comes with presets. However, the presets, on the whole, require a large amount of tweaking. Even so, compared to other plugin suites, these are very easy to use.

Sound quality is high. The reverb is a surprisingly good one. I prefer it over some very expensive reverb plugins. As I said before, the presets are adequate some of the time. However, this is nothing unusual for DirectX plugins. This is one of the two best plugin suites available. Still, I do not consider the sound ideal as of yet. I would say these are equal if not better in quality to products by Waves such as the Native Gold bundle.

These are shareware. Digilogue requests a $35 registration fee so the programmer will have an incentive to continue his work to provide free audio software.

I play guiatar, keyboard, bass, as well as sing and have been recording since I got my first 4 track cassette deck in the early 90's. I use a Frankenstein computer with a 450 kmd processor, 128 megs ram, and a SB Live card. I know, I need to upgrade! I downloaded the fully featured shareware to demo the sounds.

If you've ever used plugins or effects processors, you should be able to scratch the surface. You have to be more familiar with how different parameters control different types of effects to get deeper ex. "softness and attack" of a compression curve, "Q" of a filter, or wave shape. Some of the presets are OK but you really need to customize to an individual application. The effects offer help menus but they are not very in depth. Of course, no manual. What do you want for free?

The quality of effects ranges from good to excellent. I can not understand why this pack can be downloaded for free. The modulation plug ins are very warm and can go from vintage to modern. Parameters allow great control over the effect and allow subtle to trippy sounds.
You can put a high or low pass on delays or go for a multi tap. Reverb sounds very nice. They also include a fliter to give some auto wah, throw up, am radio zaniness. All effects switchable stereo/mono and many offer a graffical view of the effect(frequency or compression curve). List of effects: phaser, flanger, chorus, delay/tempodelay, multi tap delay, parametric eq, filter, gate, compressor, reverb, and stereo imaging.

I can't beleive this isn't a couple hundred dollars. Well worth the price of $0.00. Doesn't seem to hog very much CPU space. I love some of the quasi-low-fi sounds you can get with this as well as crystal clear sci-fi strangeness. If you need any thing from an old school phaser to cavernous decay, you can get it with this. I have to give it a solid 10. Give it a try. If you don't like it, you won't be out a single penny.
