Reviewer Background
:
I'm playing guitar (for 15 years, but I have an average tech. level).
I've try this plug-in with Sonar 3 XL Producer Edition (under Windows XP Pro) with a STAudio C-Port soundcard/rack (8 ins, 8 outs + midi and SPDIF).
I'm owning a Fender Strat and a Gibson LesPaul Studio. I'm using Yorkville YSM1P monitors and I also have a Rivera M60 tube amp + a Boss GT6.
This plug-in is really stable... a lot more than Amplitube (AT crashes/freeze after 2 instances :( ), and the sound is a lot LOT better...

PS : sorry for my bad english but I'm from Belgium...
The interface is really really simple, just like a real amp... if you can use an amp you will have no problems using it. (a bit like Amplitube but it looks like a Marshal Amp).
You have a FX switch that brings you to a rack with EQ, Delay, Chorus, Compressor, Limiter,...
Just take a look at http://www.nomadfactory.com/products/rockamp/ for the pics and details.

This is the first plug-in that really make me feel like playing on a real amp... the sound is amazing ! The presets are good (not too much effects like on others :) ), there is a bit too much bass for my settings (guitar/monitors/soundcard) but you can correct it easily with the amp or FX EQ.
The FX are also very good !
I think you can download the demo on their website... Aaaarggghhh, just be carefull because they are using a copy protection that is really annoying (Pace Interlock).

I really think that this is the best amp sim plug-in for the moment, I've try Amplitube, NI Guitar Rig (yeark:( ), Green Amp II,... but no one gave me the feel of a real amp.
Just try it and you will love it.
The only thing I don't really like, is the way to choose the presets, it's just a pop up menu that could be more convenient. And the price is also a bit expensive... +- 300 ?.
