Reviewer Background :
I play music since my young age and I'm 51 years old. My main instrument is the guitar, I play also flute and keyboard. Synth I onwed over the years: Roland system 100, Sh 101, tb-303,Korg Ms-10, Poly-800, Cz-1000,
Jx8P, Mks-30,Tx81Z,Tg 77,Sampler Akai S612,A-3000,Alpha Juno-1,Ms-2000R,
Tr-707,Hr16-B,MMT-8, etc.

Soft:Korg Legacy Collection,Synth 1,SuperWave,Efm micromodular, Efm
pro-5 and Way out Ware TimeWarp.

Ease of Use : 7
No problem to install. I downloaded directly from the company. Just assign the input controller and that's it. The midi learn is also simple
to use. In my case that's the Korg Ms-20ic,very easy to assign different controls to the specific parameter. The interface is ok, but
not much. Based on the Arp 2600, I think the gui could be better if you compare to the similar Arturia product. The manual written by the same person who wrote the original Arp 2600 manual is really interesting
to read. This is a basic manual with a lot of examples.

Sounds/Sound Quality : 10
The sound is very impressive. Immediatly you understand that this is not a standard software. I never owned an Arp 2600, so I can't
compare to the original but I listened a lot of music made with it (the hardware) and I can say I like what I hear. Just take a simple oscillator, just one, and open the filter slowly with a little bit of resonance. The sound is large, with a lot of frequencys, many frequencys. A commun trick to have a fat sound is to use many oscillators. Not here, just one is enough. And you have three.

The presets are just example of cable patching, they could be better
to my taste but the pleasure for that kind of machine is to build a sound and there's a practical managing patch very usefull.

The polyphony depend of your PC. In my case, Pentium 3,800 mhz,I cannot really use it in polyphony but I don't care, I have others
synth for that. After all, the original was mono.

Overall Rating : 3
Now the other side: There's almost no support. After two months I try to contact. I received one e-mail and they did not resolv my problems:crash
when I use program change in stand alone mode or vst mode with minihost, no way to assign a specific midi channel in stand alone mode. The license:You have two. That's all. This mean I'm ok for changing one time my PC in all my life.Or I could buy an"I lock",but not enough usb input. So, for $250. I don't own the TimeWarp, but can use it until my next PC die.
