The GUI may not be pretty, but everything is laid out sensibly. There are a few parameters which do require the manual
Thanks to its resynthesis engine, it is very easy to get good sounds. Import a sample, and it extracts a spectral map used to generate sounds.
Sounds/Sound Quality

Vertigo can create useable lead and bass sounds, but it is best at creating otherworldly evolving pads.
The factory patches are good, but to really hear what the synth is capable I would recommend downloading the Ugo patch set.

The reason I chose Vertigo over the competing additive plugins was that it had a far superior resynthesis engine. It doesn't do morphing as well as other additives, however.
