I have been making music for around 22 years.
I make primarily ambient electronica with my setup based around a Seasound Solo converter and various programs running under Windows XP
I have been working with this library for about 2 years
My primary monitoring is a pair of BX8's and AKG271 Phones

For the quality of the material offered it is definately worth the asking price. The musicianship and creativity displayed on this disc is exemplary, you can tell a lot of work went into every loop. The collection is primarily in the 60 to 100bpm area but there is a lot of energy in most of these loops with multiple percussion parts on most. Mr. Yashiki has also put alot into the processing side as all of these loops are very warm and classic sounding. Some standouts on this disc are:
Mother 78bpm
Movin' 110bpm
Thing 70bpm
and Confession130bpm
Some of these loops due to their very organic feel do start to drag in certain part but this is just a minor gripe.
I would say my only complaint as it is with all audio sample CD'S is just the downtime involved in editing and naming each loop individually. Highly recommended and is one of those secret weapon discs.

I have been making music for around 20 years in a mostly ambient electronic vein if i had to classify.
My primary listening equipment consists of a pair of AKG M240's and a set of MAudio BX8's. My soundcard is a now discontinued Seasound Solo EX which is a great bargain if you can find them!

I would say that for the price this library was definately worth it.
The library consists of all drum loops, mostly live playing and ranging in tempo from 60bpm to 146bpm. The level of playing is very high and the recording quality is great. Most of these loops are very old school funk and pretty down tempo for the most part. One loop titled Movin'at 111bpm is a great loop and it features a few variations. There are definately a few standouts on this disc and most loops are 4 bars or more in length.
My only complaints were in the fact that alot of the material was very busy and did'nt include their separate components which makes using them in a track very difficult. Furthermore because most of the loops were in the 70 to 110bpm range timestretching them effectively is difficult without the grooves sounding chipmunked.
I would say if your looking for some Barry White inspired funk
Or even say some spacier Beastie Boys inspired instrumentals this is a sound buy. But the lack of individual components gives this a less than perfect score.
