I'm using the disk in EXS24 with Logic Gold on an Apple G4 with an M-audio soundcard and Roland monitors. I imported the entire disk in EXS and only had maybe half a dozen bad loop points and the rest were fine. I play mainly classic pop/rock influenced by artists such as the Beatles, Jellyfish, Aimee Mann, etc...

This disk took forever to come out and it was worth the wait. It's so cool and fun. There's not a lot to say about it really. It simply contains complete samples of every Optigan, Talentmaker, Orchestron disk ever released. If you need optigan sounds there's no point in looking elsewhere cause it's all here. The sounds are separated by organ, then split into chord/fx programs and scale or keyboard sounds. Unless you have an 88 key keyboard it's really not possible to have the chords and keys together in one program. This disk is really great if you want the sounds, but if you want to play them like a real Optigan then you'll be let down. For practical and technical reasons that isn't really possible. The disk is only available through www.optigan.com and goes for $200 whcih seems a bit steep for a single sample disk, but if you had to track down all the disk as well as working examples of these ogans you'd be set back a hell of a lot more if you could ever even find them. Highly recommended for the lo-fi and vintage key junkies.
