Reviewer Background :
I've been playing guitar/keyboards and a little drums for 10 years. Five years ago I started a small homestudio. I make dance music with various side projects varying from stringquartets to nu-metal.
The Samplers I use are The Akai S5000 (live), Steinberg Halion, and Native Instruments Battery and Kontakt.
I have a PC with a Motu2408 soundcard with Dynaudio BM6a nearfield monitors.

Overall Rating : 9
Seventeen unprocessed drumkits with 16 velocity levels for snare and toms with separate left- and righthand samples. All kits are useable.

This is as close as you can get to real drums without actually recording a drumkit.

The drums are unprocessed so can make your own choices. Either crank kick and snares up with compression or leave it to get a more subtle sound. If you add some ambience or room reverb it's like the real thing.
