This is a 2 disc collection of construction kits in the vein of Chemical Brothers,Crystal Method etc...A lot of the sounds and Sound EFX used where dated by the time this left the factory. The construction kits are broken down to their individual components and followed by a pretty extensive loop section of drums, synths, basses etc. I would have to say that the Drum loops are almost completely useless with maybe 2 or 3 exceptions. All of the loops range in tempo from 90 to 145bpm with most of them multilayered with percussion or the odd vocal effect the majority sounding very recycled from other collections. There is probably 50 variations on the Amen breakbeat in here...boring. As far as the rest of the loops go there are some truly awful sounding piano flourishes that sound like the worst soundcard FM simulation, close to useless synth sounds complete with bad octave string sounds, single shot rez sweeps, bad sub bass parts, unfunky clavs, and cheesy female orgasms and oohs and ahhs. As far as usability is concerned i actually heard one of these kits being used in a Ford commercial a few months back which is just depressing that some jack**s probably made a considerable sum of money for 2 minutes worth of work, but what are you gonna do? I would not buy this again unless you are looking to make Big Beat/Techno music to be played in the background in a Disney film.
