Reviewer Background :
Indian singer and musician, making music for 15 years. Originally started with E-Mu ESI sampler - still love it. Recently trying out different the percussion instruments from several Indian sample libraries.

Overall Rating : 9
Bought Indian Traditions by Big Fish Audio about six months ago - do not remember the exact price may be around $100.

In my opinion, this library is the best in the market. I have compared it against Bollywood Dreams by AMG, Bollywood Grooves by Philtre Labs and Pukka Masala by AMG. Unfortunately none of these stand any chance against Big Fish's Indian Traditions - be it the quality, organization or the content of the library.

The samples for both Melodic and Percussion instruments, are extremely well tuned, recorded (at 44 KHz) and categorized. Being an Indian musician I can confidently say that any user of this library will be able to compose songs just by using this library. I have done one myself.

For the percussion instruments the loops are perfect, the tempos are accurate. The Tabla loops, intros and endings are perfectly tuned as well.

I believe Big Fish hired true musicians to record these sample.

I recently purchased Bollywood Grooves by Philtre Labs which is supposed to be geared towards "Hindi Movie style" grooves but this library is not good (I will provide specific details later).

I would request Big Fish Audio to produce more such libraries with other Indian melodic and percussion instruments, especially from South India. Some compilation of Movie oriented loops would be great.
