Big Fish Audio LA Drums

I have been involved with music for 8 years, mixing and producing studio masters for artists in the san francisco area. Over the years I have evolved from the classical hardware setup to a combination of pro tools and hardware which lets me get the classic sound i love as well as the convenience of software. These days its hard to even tell the difference between some of the pro tools fx and my outboard gear.`

I bought this for the studio I work at. I thought it would be a good substitute for the times when our session drummer shows up sick.
originally I was planning to make my own cd by sampling our own high-end drum but after doing about four samples I found it much too time consuming.

I was very impressed by the standardization of LA DRUMS, all the sounds in the whole cd sound like part of one kit and mesh together very well. I even spliced in some drums from the LA drums series to beef up the existing drum tracks laid down by our in-house drummer.

I think the sounds are typically suited to rock but with the right effects applied im sure that you could make these drums work for other music genres like rap.
