it's definitely worth the price tag. hard to find good bossa nova libraries. i'm HUGE into bossa nova like stan getz, astrud gilberto, the next stop wonderland soundtrack, antonio carlos jobim....
the samples are basic--- guitar riffs, drum loops (all are great), and basslines. not too much stuff other than that... no horns, no pianos. everything's labeled great in the folders-- chords/key.. very logically laid out.
the problem i have with Soundscan sample libraries are they are "wav-ready" but they are not "loop-ready". the loops are all in need of chopping/editing, with an editor such as Sound Forge or whatever... the loops have either too much pause at the end of each sample, or too little. it takes a while to chop samples, and it's a huge pain.. but in the end, it's worth the extra redundant work. i wish that all the Soundscan stuff was "loop-ready" with the correct loop points.. because all of their libraries have GREAT sounds and the price is right.
definitely worth it, if you don't mind putting in the extra editing work.
i give the library a 10 because there are little NO bossa nova sample libraries. there definitely should be more. it's a beautiful sound, and hard to duplicate unless you're from South America. ;)
