Reviewer Background
:
I've been making music for 8 years. Electronic for 3.
I write darker industrial electronic quite a bit, which was why i was interested in this cd.
My main sequencer is Fruity Loops 3, but i also use Sound Forge and Nuendo amongst others.
I've had this disc around a year.
Pretty standard creative labs sound card with a custom computer.

You can now get these from hardsounds on ebay for $14.98.
Almost any cd is going to be worth it for such a cheap price tag. So from the get go, i didn't expect very much. But i did need some heavier drum sounds, so i got one. The sounds are good, and the quality is good. My only complaint is this; the samples are much shorter than what i had imagined. I realize that it's best to go with drum samples being un-processed. Sans-reverb. But a good number of these samples have been processed with reverb. And the reverb trails are cut drastically short, making some of them practically un-useable. And some of the un-processed ones are cut short as well. This cd would be perfect if not for this flaw. I still use it regularly, but this is a major complaint for me.
There are quite a few sounds. Kicks, snares, cymbals, and random weirdness. All fairly heavy and strange.
This is a decent cd if you're willing to toy with the sounds a bit. But it seems like it could have been made a thousand times better.
