Homegrown Sounds have got to be some of the most talented producers out there, in the sample CD realm. No joke. ALL of this stuff is AWESOME and COMPLETELY usable. I first heard of Homegrown Sounds from some loops they donated to Computer Music magazine.. samples from all of their libraries. It took me a while, but I finally got around to picking up Organic Breakbeats (about a week ago-- and I got it for half price, thanks to the sale on www.hgsounds.com). I don't know why I waited so long.
Downtempo, trip-hop, hip-hop, dub.. processed, unprocessed.. single hits... REX format and WAV...
All of these loops are exactly what the doctor ordered. I love this company and support everything they make. No, I don't work for them. Their libraries really are that good. It's a shame they haven't gotten distribution yet (through eastwest or time & space), because the quality of their samples surpasses all those $90 libraries that the "big guys" put out.
