Hey, don`t get me wrong-this 2-disc set IS EXPENSIVE and it is an older library...no
discussion about that topic, please, BUT: It is worth the price
tag...I compared the playability and the expressiveness of
these samples (especially 11 violins / 4 violas and Basses)
to the other available libraries out there - IMHO: there`s
really no ther library out there who can compare to these
string-sounds when it comes to pastoral sounding lines/movements.
I`m owning also Advanced orchestra, ultimate strings, Kirk Hunter,
...and also tried out Garritan`s sounds...
Give it a try and just play the patch "11 violins soft" from the
vitous library and compare it to any string-patch in some other
library...
Most composers still use these expensive library out there for
there scoring stuff over any other library.
