M-Audio Pro Sessions Vol. 34 - Da Joints

I have been producing Hip-Hop for about 8 years.

I have a yamaha motif, korg triton, mpc3000, and various other equipment.

My primary listening equipment is Genelec's 1031's.

In my honest opinion, this sample cd is not worth the price tag.

For $40 you get 250 mb of loops. That is an average deal.

But what really makes this a bad deal is the fact that every single loop in this cd is limited and compressed to death. This means that i can hear audible distortion and clipping on about half of the loops.

On about half of the loops that are not distored, you cannot process them at all because they are limited so much that an EQ or additional compression will make the distort. This is very limiting in what you can do.

Honestly, if the sounds were not ruined by the ridiculous amount of limitng i would have given a better rating........not a ten out of ten by any means but it would have been around a 7/10.
